RLS was founded in 1989 to provide position encoders and metrology solutions for a wide range of industries. In 2000, RLS became an associate company of Renishaw, with a strong vision to be recognised as a world leader in magnetic encoder technology. RLS has a long history of successfully working with customers to design and develop new and innovative encoders and position sensors for a wide range of industries. RLS encoder solutions for ploughs, cultivators, seeders and other equipment used for growing crops. RLS encoders are used to control the pitch, yaw and roll motion of parts of gimbals, gyroscopes, cameras and similar. RLS is strongly rooted in motor drive technology and has been developing encoder solutions for speed and position control for decades.
